Careyes...

We cruised down the coast to Costa Careyes, this quirky beach community founded in the 60's by some Italian guy.

It's full of exclusive villas and celebrities.

Apparently Eva Longoria just bought her husbund a bar here!

It's like the central american version of St Tropez, but way more down to earth, so no 'it-bars', expeno boutiques etc - there's not even a town, it's all centred around this (apparently) amazing Italain restauarant called Playa Rosa (?!).

All these gorgeous villas perched on top of the cliffs with their own little private staircases down to the beach.

Beautiful....

Bullfight!

Just a quick snap from the bullfight we went to see here in Puerto Vallarta. I thought one bull was bad enough, but there were FOUR fights!

Thought that this could possibly be the gayest matador outfight that ever was...?! Or maybe it would be fine without the hot pink socks?

Some of the matadors put on such a show, prancing around the ring and acting for the crowd. At one point one of them was gored by the bull - for a refreshing change! - and went down. He had to be helped up and then started this big charade: he's hurt - oh no wait he's limping - he looks angry - "where's the bull?!" he roars....

Well hello!

Welcome to my New Years resolution....

I'm sure by now that my slackness at keeping in touch is blatantly apparent. Apologies.

Since I make a resolution every year to make more of an effort, decided on something different this year - a blog!

So I have no idea how this thing works. Things could be a wee sketchy to start with, but I do intend to stick a load of pics on here and regale you all - or maybe just myself - with humorous tales from my travels.

Perhaps keep you updated on my personal goals - currently to eat my body weight in guacamole....mmmmm! (although this attempt was sidetracked last night when we ate out at a mexican restaurant, in Mexico, that wouldn't serve me guacamole! No words.)

For once, you might even know where I am each day!
